Princeton University’s Community Auditing Program (CAP) – Some lectures and classes from Princeton University are accessible through this program, check their website for more information.
FDIC English Classes – FDIC offers group and individual Conversation English classes for free
Princeton Public Library English Class – Public library also offers group conversation English class for free

Princeton University Library
Princeton Public Library – Accessible to people living in Princeton and/or affiliated with the University. They have a huge selection of books for all age and also have a good selection of books in foreign languages. Feel free to subscribe to their newsletter, lots of events are organized (often for free) and some of them are accessible to the community!  Princeton Public Library also offer free museum passes in Jersey, New York and Philly areas to their members! Everyone who lives in Princeton can sign up for their membership for free.

Princeton Garden Theater – This is the movie theater in downtown Princeton. Check out their program as it is quite diverse and changes quite often.
AMC Marketfair 10 Theater  – This huge movie theater is located in Marketfair shopping mall.
McCarter Theater – Large selection of plays, shows, music and dance performance.
Princeton University Concert – Several concerts organized throughout the year by Princeton University, ad it is not only about classical music, just check out their programs!

Public events at Princeton University – Several seminars, conferences or presentations from Princeton University are actually open to the public, check the up-coming public events!
Institute for Advanced Study Events (select public event) – same goes for the IAS which opens several conferences to the public.

Planet Princeton – local media for essential source for news, events, the arts and more in Princeton!
Princeton, NJ Community Group – local Facebook group that connects people who live in the Princeton, New Jersey area!

Travelling through the US

* To/From New York City: NJ Transit (from Princeton Junction or Princeton Station via Dinky train shuttle to New York Penn station) or Megabus (from downtown Princeton – purchase tickets at the kiosk on Palmer square or online (don’t miss $1 deals!), bus will depart in front of the main university entrance in front of Nassau Hall – look for a Stage Coach bus :-)

* To/From PhiladelphiaNJ Transit (from Princeton Junction or Princeton Station via Dinky train shuttle. Transit usually via Trenton)

* Depending on your destination, you may also want to check:

Train companies: Amtrack (best to book in advance for better deals)
Car and/or Truck rental: Enterprise, Budget, Hertz, Alamo, Avis, U-haul (trucks and trailers only).

* As you may know, there are 3 airports in New York City area: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) – which is the closest airport to Princeton.
Worth knowing, you can also find low-cost flights to and from Mercer-Trenton Airport.
